Ode to a broken heart

In this realm of chaos

Where vagueness rules right and wrong

Oh, let a sliver of light pass through

Lighting way for a heart to follow through

Let the broken pieces know

That my heart is still open

That in spite of the clashes

The ideologies, the pride, that separates us

Is but a small gap, to the giants inside

Let the message echo

Throughout the empty walls

Of our once magnificent temple

Ringing the shrines of our philosophy

Where we paid tribute

To the intelligence that honored us

And speak, in didactic or consolidation

The message from God

That my heart is still there

Anonymous, yet still attentive

Oh God the existence I inquire

The God that is so true to thee soul

Let my voice be used to holler up your evidence

That you are there, that you place the ears

That listen to the lonely voice that only dreams of being heard

Let the days resurrect

Of the tears that fell not to the floor

For my hands were there

Let the days resurrect

Of the head that crumpled not to the bosom

For my shoulders were there

Let the days resurrect

Of the soul that, for the first time, saw more in life

For my presence was called

Let the days resurrect

Of the being in me

That despite every efficiency and call to action

That challenges sheer mentality and intelligence

To hearken to the soul of others

The resurrection

Of the human in me
